Traditionally-Flexing Faceoff Heads
A traditionally-flexing faceoff head is the most popular type of flex being used amongst all levels of lacrosse. This type of flex gets its name due to the natural flexing that all lacrosse heads have if they were to be used for a faceoff. Before faceoff-specific heads were designed, normal lacrosse heads were used to take faceoffs with and they all had the same type of flex. This flex is what players became used to using, thus making it the traditional type of flex.

Characteristics of a Traditionally-Flexing Head:
- Smooth, rounded sidewalls upon flexion
- Lateral flexion
- Left sidewall is identical to right sidewall upon flexion
- Left top sidewall bends inside left bottom rail
